Job Description

To plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas. Responsible for achieving customer service objectives, sales volumes and value objectives. To ensure customer satisfaction and manage quality of product and service delivery.


This role is based from our UK offices on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To generate quotations based on customer requirements liaising with all necessary departments.

  2. To ensure customer issues are noted and reported immediately to line manager and to ensure any remedial action agreed by the Client Director is actioned promptly

  3. To maintain sales activity records and log all quotes and follow ups, negotiating where necessary within agreed parameters by the Client Director

  4. To source and develop customer referrals

  5. To efficiently schedule sales activity

  6. To attend all meetings required by management including but not limited to monthly KPI with the Client Director

  7. To develop and promptly maintain the customer database

  8. To make sales calls to new and existing customers in accordance with agreed specific performance objectives

  9. To prepare sales reports as instructed by management within time frames set

  10. To respond promptly to sales inquiries and concerns by telephone or electronically

  11. To ensure customer service satisfaction and good customer relationships

  12. To follow up on sales activity promptly

  13. To liaise with Production and customers to effectively answer general enquiries concerning deliveries and production

  14. To ensure that external sales team are kept informed promptly of any developments affecting their accounts

  15. To keep your work colleagues updated on a daily basis in respect of your work, ensuring and maintaining a team culture

  16. To plan and conduct direct marketing activities subject to the Client Directors approval

  17. To attend internal and/or external training courses as required by management

  18. To meet and exceed agreed specific performance objectives

  19. To achieve team sales targets set by management within agreed timescales

  20. To comply with all reasonable and lawful directions given you

  21. To use your best endeavours to promote, protect, develop and extend the company's business

This is not an exhaustive list and you may be allocated other duties from time to time as the management determines necessary to meet business need.

These duties and responsibilities are indicative of the work required in the Sales Team and this may be updated by management as required from time to time. There may be some additional specific duties that will be agreed in advance by you and the Client Director.
